Lost and Found is a project created by the Nikkei National Museum with featured posts from our friends aimed to generate a conversation across our community. This conversation, with your help, will let us put names to faces and places. Each week we will post new photographs and we hope you will join in by leaving your comments on who or where or when or what you think about the photograph. My Mom (Teruye Yamashita) is the girl in the dark dress on the left in the back row with glasses she was ten. She was the narrator of the play, which was called "Kaguya-hime." She says the teacher to the left is named Mrs. Ohori and the one on the right is Mrs. Kamitakahara.
ReplyDeleteThe girl playing the kaguyahime is Betty Mochizuki.
The girl in white, third from the left is Misao Izukawa.
The boy in dark in from the right in the back row, next to the girl in white is Jessie Nishihata (check with Shoji).
The girl next to him is Miki Sada.
Here is Wikipedia on Kaguya hime, which would explain the bamboo in the background.
