Lost and Found is a project created by the Nikkei National Museum with featured posts from our friends aimed to generate a conversation across our community. This conversation, with your help, will let us put names to faces and places. Each week we will post new photographs and we hope you will join in by leaving your comments on who or where or when or what you think about the photograph. Visit our online collection to explore more photographs or stop by and visit our museum!
My mother Nori Tatemichi confirmed who the people in the photo are. Going left to right the man in the picture is my father Jim Tatemichi. She could not recall the name of the woman next to my dad but the third person is Yaeko Nagai. The fourth person she could not identify but the fifth woman is Lucky Goto and the last person in the picture is Tomiko Miura. My apologies if this is not completely accurate but my mother is 94 years old and can be forgiven if she mis-identified someone. She also believes the picture was taken by Mark Toyama.
